GATE-XX INFRA

Stationary Interstellar Highway System

Highway Gate Assembly Blueprint

Deep-Space Rings

GATE-01 Induction Ring
CompositionNb₃Sn Superconductor
Pulse Load54.4 GW Transfer
Mass28,000 kg Platform

The massive, stationary ring waiting in space. Actively generates the gravitational gradient to suck the ship inward upon "The Snap".

GATE-02 Radiator Fins
MaterialGraphene-Carbon Mesh
Scale100 Meter Arrays
RoleWaste Heat Dump

Drains and disperses extreme heat from metric friction—preventing the passing spacecraft from boiling under the tidal shear.

GATE-03 UV Sync Tx Beacon
Laser Type337 nm UV Pulse
RoleTransition Start Handshake

Uses ultraviolet laser beacons to "handshake" across interstellar distances, ensuring the "Road" is perfectly aligned and dilated before the Bebop enters, preventing fatal metric shear.

GATE-04 Buffer Capacitors
MediaGraphene-Sulphur Bank
LocationGate Exterior Pods

Coordinates exactly with the ship's super-capacitors, pooling 1ms energy limits on the station side prior to the gravitational transition.

GATE-05 Event Horizon Dampers
FunctionRecoil Absorption
Speed< 500 ms Nullification

Absorbs the "recoil" or metric wake of the spacetime snap, preventing the Highway from "ringing" like a bell and damaging subsequent transit queue stability.

GATEWAY METRIC PLACID

Phase 1 Logistics: The One-Way Reality

The first step in opening a route (e.g., to Alpha Centauri) is launching a massive automated "Seed-Ship". Using conventional fusion or ion propulsion, this factory-ship travels for decades to the target Lagrange point. Once arrived, it autonomously constructs the destination GATE-XX induction rings and radiator fins.

For short-range operations without a destination gate, ships can utilize "Inverted Induction." The vessel stays tethered to the Origin Gate's frequency. When the ship casts its anchor, the Origin Gate pushes instead of pulls. However, this "bungee cord" has a strict distance limit (light-minutes) before the metric tether snaps.

Once a Seed-Ship completes a destination gate, the route becomes a two-way highway. To return home, the STR-01 casts a new Anchor aimed backward. The Home Gate locks onto the specific Terahertz signature of the ship's reversing FSS-02 spin, reeling the vessel back to Earth.
